OUR STORY
THE LAB
OUR MISSION
We believe art should be affordable, accessible, sustainable, inspiring and fun for everyone – not just professionals. We strive to help individuals tap into their inner creative spirit, walking away with original art in their hands & less stress on their minds.
To expand this spirit here in Corona, we infused all of our creative energy into this space – The Happy Art Lab.
It took 60 days, 340+ man-hours, and many, many, many buckets of paint and p100 masks to get it to this point. We did it all ourselves with a shoestring budget and a lot of heart. We can't wait to share it with you.
OUR IMPERFECT DARKROOM
We call it imperfect because it's a learning lab. No master printers would approve. but we can promise the most affordable access to printing with quality gear in all of SoCal.
This is the 3rd iteration of a darkroom Dre has built, and she can't wait to share it with you! Fun fact: Dre drove to DC to rescue the Library of Congress' paper before being trashed... and we can't wait to pay it forward by sharing it with you.
HERITAGE PARK
While researching their newly purchased historic home in Corona, Dre was introduced to the park. She fell in love with it's magic and the volunteers there who maintain it. Dre began volunteering 15+ hours per week. She now calls it her home and is so grateful to be building Happy Art Lab Co with the Board's full support.
Visit Corona Heritage Park and try not to fall in love. We dare you.
THE IDEATOR
Dre is a creative at heart with a background in photography, creative direction and producing. She is living her dream by building this creative community space in her new hometown of Corona. Originally from the midwest... you really can't beat the California sunshine, y'all.
*Special shout to Jess Graye for their support, hard work and ideas throughout the transformation and development of THE LAB. And to Jordan, for being the greatest partner and cheerleader.
